3 weeks and counting

I have been in college for 3 weeks now. My impression is still the same, laid back from what I was expecting. I'm very shocked that I like it. I hated school when I was in high school and everyone kept telling me to live it up because I'll miss those days when they are gone. Well, I don't miss high school at all. I love the independence that I have in college. I don't have to be in that building all day. The only thing That I'm having trouble with right now is keeping up with homework and deciding when to do it since I don't have the same class everyday.

I tried making a movie on http://www.xtranormal.com/ but it wouldn't let me make an account. I don't know if it was the computer I was using or if I was typing the wrong stuff in.

About myself

I'm Paige. I have lived in Punxsy for 18 years. That is why I chose to go to IUP Punxsutawney for my first year. I am blogging for my basic writing class, tought by Dr. Shelly.

What were my expectations for college? Well, I expected it to be more strict, harder, time consuming, and confusing than what it really is like how the movies show it as to be. I thought the teachers would be mean and were only there to lecture. In reality, its the complete opposite. Its not confusing when you get in the hang of things.

Before I started my first day of college I imagined that I would be doing homework and studying 24/7. I didn't expect my first year to be as stress free as it is. They really don't give out more homework than what high school did. I also imagined lectures, lectures, lectures, and taking a ton of notes in a hurry. The teachers send the powerpoints in email so we could write down the notes before class to listen to the lectures.

I would really like to succeed in my first year of college and the rest of the years. I would like to study more than I did in high school. I don't want to fall behind in any of my classes. I would also like to get really good grades, like striaght A's because I have never gotten straight A's before.

The difficulties I would need to overcome are to focus more on school. I was never the ideal student in high school, I just basically got by doing the minium. I settled for low grades when I would of got better. I didn't study at all for any tests. I would have to keep up with homework also because I would always do it before the class started.
